Lisa Week 2: Bird Watchers

I met the nicest bird watchers this week! I was on my way into a work meeting when I saw three people looking up at a tree through binoculars. When I asked what they were looking at, they pointed out the Cooper's Hawk nest & told me all about how the male had chased away the female, and now he doesn't have a mate and it's getting really late into the season for them to make babies. Relatable.

We chatted for a bit about birds. They asked if they could get on the roof of the Hope Center for a better look. I said no. That effectively killed the conversation, but at least I learned a lot about birds before that!

I can't imagine that I'll ever be the little old lady in the neighborhood who has bird watching binoculars, but I definitely hope I am friends with her.
