Lisa Week 4: So many strangers, so little time
This week was full of strangers! We had a combined ward BBQ on Monday, which was practically a gold mine for this blog. I met several people Greta knew from back home, and chatted casually with approximately a million people (read: 5) people from the other ward. All very nice people, BUT let's chat about the more interesting stranger encounters of the week.
I also sat in on an interview that was way less productive (and way more entertaining). The lady basically told us all the reasons we shouldn't hire her. But she wanted the job. My boss kept calling me throughout the rest of the day to talk about the interview. I think we were both flabbergasted by how bad it was.
The end.
Interviews
I got to sit in on several interviews at work this week. One girl IS ME. Seriously. She served her mission in Oregon, just graduated from the same program as me, and I'm pretty sure she and I will be pals if she gets the job. Is it narcissistic of me to think she's THE BEST?I also sat in on an interview that was way less productive (and way more entertaining). Spider Killer
There was a terrifying spider in the kitchen earlier this week. I spotted it on Monday morning, but didn't kill it. After avoiding the kitchen for days, I spotted it again later in the week. I tried to get Carine to kill it, but once she saw how far it could jump we were both DONE. Carine ran outside and asked a random stranger who was walking his dog to come inside and kill the spider for us. He did. Super nice guy.The end.
