Lisa Week 6: Mikey
I love weeks when I have multiple QUALITY stranger interactions to choose from! I'm definitely noticing myself reaching outside of my comfort zone. Speaking of which...
Some friends and I rented a condo in Eden, UT for the weekend. I didn't even know this cute little town existed, but I am definitely a fan. It's just an hour away from Salt Lake, and it was the perfect destination for a quick weekend getaway girls trip. On the drive up, Carine decided we should take the opportunity to go skinny dipping. Since I feel like the only person in the entire world who is 25 and has never been skinny dipping, I readily agreed. We scoped out private(ish) spots on the reservoir Saturday during the day, and made plans to come back in the cover of night.
Enter Mikey.
Saturday evening, Missy's friend, Mikey, decided he wanted in on the fun and drove up to the condo. Now not only would I be swimming naked with my besties, but some random boy would be there. YIKES. But by that time we were already really super committed, and it was supposed to be really dark (it was not, thanks to a full moon). After getting to know each other for 1 card came, we headed to our spot, stripped down and ran into the FREEZING cold water. We each entered at a slightly different spot (for privacy) and then met a little further out. My whole body was numb by the end.
This was by far the most intimate stranger experience yet, but honestly it was way less awkward than I thought it would be. Also, skinny dipping is great! It's a very liberating feeling. Highly recommend the experience to everyone, but maybe don't do it when its cold outside and the water is like 40 degrees.
