Greta Week 10: My Replacement
A week ago I began the task of selling my housing contract. I felt like the most popular girl in school, I had about 50 bajillion messages from strangers wanting to come see our house. I quickly sifted through them and decided to let a few come check it out.
Candidate #1: Mikaela, very nice girl. She's a nurse. She was a little quieter, and didn't seem thrilled about our apartment. She also never messaged me asking more about the place so she sent a clear signal that she was not interested.
Candidate #2: McKinley, also a very nice girl. BUT...she had the potential of being very annoying. I know this isn't a very nice thing to say, but in my opinion it's the truth. And the last thing I want is for Lisa, Carine, and Evann to be stuck with someone annoying because of me. Anyway, I apparently sent off vibes that I was going to let her have the contract and she sent me eager messages later and I had to let her know we found someone else.
Candidate #3: Madeleine. Technically she's not a total stranger because we worked together at BYU, but I have to include her because she was our third and final candidate. Really, I'm counting the other two as my strangers for this week. Madeleine seems like a real winner. I think she'll fit right in here. And the feeling must be mutual because she sent Michele an application to sign a contract.
