Lisa Week 10: The Lagoonies

This week has been full of stranger interactions! Greta posted her contract for sale and we've had lots of people interested in checking the place out. We think we found *the one.* I've just got my fingers crossed that it all works out and we don't hate each other. I've had awesome luck with roommates thus far, so let's hope that continues!

G and I went to Lagoon yesterday, and I always love all the stranger interactions at amusement parks. There's nothing quite like waiting in line for what feels like hours and then getting strapped in for an adrenaline rush with complete strangers. My favorites of the day:

  • The three little blondies waiting in line with their dad for the Rattlesnake Rapids. One little girl was so nervous but she had so much fun that afterwards she said she would never be nervous again, haha.
  • The little girl who tapped my arm when we were getting on Cannibal and said "um, just so you know...I might scream." ME TOO, KID. She didn't scream though. She laughed. The entire time. Hahahahaha, it was the cutest thing!
  • On another coaster, a little girl's lap car didn't get pulled down all the way and she was so worried she was going to fall out. It took both of us to be strong enough to pull it down further, but finally she felt secure + I didn't have to witness her death.
  • The boy with special needs who did not understand why he couldn't put stuff in our locker. This was probably not Greta's favorite stranger experience of the day because he kept grabbing her as we tried to calmly explain that this was our locker, and we would help him get his own. Eventually the lady behind us and a worker got involved and they were going to call for back up. But G and I didn't feel that was super necessary and we definitely didn't want to ruin this guy's day. Eventually we were able to get him his own locker and help him calm down.
  • The boy who agreed with me. While waiting in line for the Rocket ride, G and I were discussing whether it would be better to die on the ride or have your legs cut off by a snapped cable. Greta thought she would rather die, and I felt pretty passionately about surviving and living life sans legs. The boy next to us agreed with me. Also, G gets legitimately terrified on that ride and it is the FUNNIEST thing. I laugh so hard, and it's obvious that everyone watching her does too. LOVE HER.
