Lisa Week 8: Almost Failed
When Greta asked me on Sunday if I had met my stranger goal of the week, I said no. I could not remember talking to a single not-work-related stranger! Instead of admitting failure, I have spent the week racking my brain for any stranger experiences I may have forgotten. When I finally got on the blog and read Greta's experience, all kinds of light bulbs went off in my head. CHURCH PEOPLE! Woooooo! Week 8 was not a failure. In fact, I helped host a pool party where I had conversations with several strangers. There was Kylie, who held my sunglasses for me while I battled Greta in a chicken fight (I lost). Then there was Ben's mom, who was very nice and told me I could break any rule I wanted because she's a "chill" mom. And Ben's dad, who sat around the fire with us making s'mores and talking about mattresses. Plus several other pool party guests whose names/interesting facts I have long since forgotten. Week 8: mission accomplished.
(And I'm totally nailing week 9, in case you wondered.)
