Greta Week 11 & 12 : Haircut & Camping

Week 11

My favorite is when my stranger is built into my week naturally. I know what you're thinking...that's cheating, but as we continue to remind you dear reader, (who doesn't actually exist) WE MAKE THE RULES HERE. So my stranger this week is Kylie from Lunatic Fringe on Parley's. I got my haircut (read: trimmed). I can't remember the last time I went to the same hairdresser twice in a row. In Provo I would always go to the hair schools: Paul Mitchell, Aveda. Here in Salt Lake I went to the Meraki Salon down the street, but then the girl I had last time there was booked so I went to another new person. She was fabulous. She talked just the right amount, you know how sometimes when you're getting your haircut you kind of just want to relax in silence for a little bit? She allowed for that but also made conversation when the timing was right. It was great, we bonded over shows we like to watch on Netflix. It was a bummer at the end when she asked if I wanted to rebook with her and I had to tell her I'm moving. So I shall continue my "no two haircuts by the same person" trend.

Week 12

Since this week was the 4th of July, I had Wednesday off from work. I went camping with Missy and a couple of her friends that I had met briefly before. There was also one girl who I hadn't met before. She was actually a stranger to most of us there. The one person she had met before had met her on the train in Salt Lake. And that's it, they hadn't ever hung out before she was invited camping. I don't know how someone becomes close enough to a total stranger on the train that they invite them camping, but then again some people are better at talking to strangers than I am. Anyway, Melissa was her name. She's from New Jersey and she came to Utah just for the summer for an internship. She hadn't been here before and she's now been here for a month. She was a nice girl. Very quiet. But then again that could have been because she was camping with strangers.
